A Place Where Mid-Life Learners Find Clarity
thanetpad was founded in Chiang Mai with the conviction that financial understanding should be built carefully — not sold quickly.

Built From a Genuine Need
thanetpad grew from conversations between a group of financial educators and their students on Nimmanhaemin Road in Chiang Mai — learners in their forties and fifties who felt that the financial information available to them was either too simplified or too oriented toward younger investors starting from scratch.
What these learners needed was something different: the chance to sit with their actual documents, ask real questions about Thai financial structures, and think through decisions that mattered at this stage of life. Not speed, not shortcuts, and not generalities — but proper study conducted at a respectful pace.
The organisation formalised in 2019. Since then, over 140 learners have completed at least one programme with us. Some return for subsequent courses. Many tell us it was the first time they fully understood their own financial situation.
We are based at Nimmanhaemin Road because it keeps us close to the community we serve: educated, thoughtful people who have worked hard and want to steward what they have built with knowledge and intention.
Our Mission
To offer financial education that treats learners as capable adults — structuring study programmes around their actual circumstances, not generic templates, and supporting them through the process with faculty who are present and accessible.
Our Values
- Patience over speed. Understanding built steadily stays longer.
- Transparency. We say what we do not know as clearly as what we do.
- Respect for autonomy. Our courses inform — the decisions remain yours.
- Thai context first. All material references the actual legal and financial landscape here.

· How We Work ·
Our Standards & Protocols
Data Privacy Protection
All learner financial documents shared during personal consultations are handled under strict confidentiality protocols and deleted after the programme period ends.
Faculty Qualifications
Every faculty member holds relevant professional credentials in their field — financial advisory licences, legal bar membership, or certified healthcare planning credentials.
Curriculum Review Cycle
Course content is reviewed and updated twice yearly to reflect changes in Thai financial regulations, tax law, and insurance structures.
Learner Feedback Integration
Each cohort completes a structured review at programme close. This feedback directly shapes revisions to session content and pacing for the following intake.
Clear Scope Boundaries
We are an educational organisation, not a financial advisory firm. Our courses build knowledge and analytical capacity — investment decisions remain with each learner and their chosen advisors.
Enrolment Suitability Check
Before any learner joins a programme, we hold a brief introductory call to ensure the course level and timing are genuinely appropriate for their situation.

Financial Education Grounded in Thai Reality
Mid-life is a distinct financial period. Savings behaviour, insurance requirements, estate considerations, and the relationship between current income and long-term security all shift significantly after forty. Most financial education resources do not reflect this — they address either young adults building initial habits or retirees managing fixed resources.
thanetpad works specifically in the space between. Our courses address the active stewardship phase: the decade or two when many working adults in Thailand hold a mix of provident fund contributions, life insurance policies, property interests, and investment accounts that have accumulated without ever being reviewed as a coherent whole.
Our location in Chiang Mai reflects a deliberate choice. Northern Thailand has a substantial community of experienced professionals — Thai nationals and long-term residents alike — who value careful financial thinking. Our in-person sessions and gatherings anchor learning in a specific, accessible place, while online weekly sessions extend our reach to learners across the country.
We measure our work not by certificate counts but by the clarity learners report having at the end of a programme — and by the quality of the questions they begin asking about their own finances along the way.
